Spent the whole day cleaning house today and cooked a delicious dinner too. We finally had to condem our microwave that we have had since the days of Lambeth North when we shared a flat with Shanna and Andrew. Well it has done us really well for all these years but finally the inside top of it has peeled in bits and pieces and food has gotten stuck inside and its been impossible to clean out and I am sure its unhealthy to cook with it like that so we chucked it out and replaced it with a new one from Tesco.
The new one is about the same size but has a grill inside it also and was £25 off so a bargain. And since we do not have an oven its perfect. I even managed to cook a roast chicken dinner and we had dinner home cooked for the first time since we arrived and Joshua even ate dinner so we were really happy about the as his earing habits have gone up the wall lately.
I have also made my first DVD home video, and so these will be arriving shortly at all family members for viewing, it even plays on a regular DVD player as well as on a PC with a DVD. Its not very long as the video camera stopped functioning shortly after starting it but its still good to watch and I am sure all grannies and grandads will enjoy it. I am very proud of it :) and will make more as soon as I can get the bloody video cam to cooperate, I have no idea why its not working now.

J thanks got the photos, lovely. Do you know that I am using a microwave that Shanna bought when she was at varsity at Rhodes in Grahamstown and she bought it second hand. Now how old do you think that is? I think about it now and then and wonder at the fact that it still works. Nice little microwave....*pat pat*
Will not play on a CD player as its a DVD so you need to have a DVD player for the Television or a DVD player on your PC or you will not be able to view it. OR playstation or xbox as they play DVD also. They are really cheap here now you can get one at Tesco for £29 - can you believe it remember when they came out they were a few hundred pounds.
I cannot believe your microwave has lasted that long it must be a good one. Ours was a little one remember and it really had to go I am sure it was unhealthy to cook in it as it was impossible to clean and all the paint was peeling off on the inside part where you cook.
We dont have a dvd and wont be buying one in the near future as they are quite expensive here about R1000 I think, so we wont be able to see it, sorry
