Because life is just too boring in black and white - one has to add some fairies and goblins, stories and fantasy and colour, and yes even some white rabbits.

My fondest memories as a child are bedtimes when we got fairy dust sprinkled over our heads to help us sleep and waking on the first of the month and not saying a single word, keeping quiet and practically popping with excitement till we saw another family member and yelling "White Rabbits!!!!!" and being so proud that we had managed to say that as the first thing we said for the whole month.

With so many things to put in your mind - you need a few things that are just 100% fun.

CP... thou shalt NOT watch Star Trek, Star Wars or LOTR any more... cause they are c**p, filling your head with images of nether worlds, goblins, dragons and mulitple light years of imaginary lands and droids....
mmmmmm.... a rich imagination leads to a creative and open mind...

I remember it as if it was yesterday - you just loved it and always went to sleep with a smile on your little face, and I would do it all over again, just to make my babies happy. *smiles*

Hope you will also tell Joshua and Sebastian lovely fairy stories too.

There is a difference between fairy tales and star trek etc which I love and superstitions. This in my mind falls into superstition category where you convince your mind that if you dont do something this or that way then terrible things will happen. That is a terrible thing to fill your mind with. But fantasy..... I love it!

mmmm yes it could be seen as that - but to us its just a fun thing to do - I am the most unsuperstitious person there is - but this white rabbits is fun and we have always done it - and fogotten many many times and to this day nothing bad has happened to us ( touch wood - LOL ).

We also do the "Touch your head, tough your toes, hope you never have to go in one of those" - when you see an ambulance. Can't think now of any others , Corrina ?? can you.

Mmmmmm... we have never tried to convince ourselves that if we DO NOT do em, or forgot to do/say them that something bad would happen... as Jin says, it was fun thing... i can think of loads of things... and like Jin, i will bring Cameron up the same way... if i could do HALF as good a job as my mother did on us 3, i will be more than happy... :)

here goes a few...

1. saying ''HOLD St Francis!!!'' when nearing a green traffic light so that it STAYS green for you...

2. Promising your PARKING FAIRY a tequila or a choc if you find a parking as near to the entrance of the Mall as possible!!!!

OH god, i can think of stax... and yeah i agree, i def do not think of them in any sort of bad way if i dont say them or forget to etc... it is fun... its imagination, and if you forget... so what, next time you will get a kick out of just remembering... so where is the problem? I do not see any c**p in that... i can think of LOT of other crap that kids are exposed to and dont get me started on that....
