Need I say more?

Maybe the day your son has cronic diarrhea is not the best day to do the lets go naked bummed potty training day!!

For those of you who want to know the details.

Joshua has been doing really well with the potty training in the last few days and gets a star on his forhead each time he uses the potty succesfully. Corrina told me they were doing training without nappy or pants and it had been going really well for her. So today I left Joshua naked bummed to give it a go. He comes running down the passage earlier potty in hand and had managed to use it, was so proud of himself he had come to show me. He had kinda missed it and hit the floor but that was okay.

So we leave the nappy off thinking WOW what a clever boy he is. Poor thing a little later on steps on the ledge to readh up to the cat sitting on the window sill and his stomach explodes with diarrhea all running down his legs and down the wall and all over the carpet. He was rather distressed he had made a mess on the carpet. Got him cleaned up and the floor. Back to nappies for today, Tarryn has gone up to boots to get something for the tummy.

oooooooooooh nooooooooo Jin... not a gweat idea... My mummie just left me to decide when i wanted to use the potty, absolutely no stress and viola, i did it in ONE day... really... been using the potty since i was 18 months, but never went OUT without a nappy... now i can go out , i even went to school and shopping... and i even had my afternoon sleep wifout my nappy... I am COINING it on gold stars!!! and choc ones too...
Joshie ii miss youuuuuuuuuuuu

Jin... just go with the flow... it will happen when you least expect it and it will feel amazing. We didnt push Cameron into ANYTHING he didnt want to do. If he wanted a nappy, he got one... He had TWO poo messes and that was cause he didnt get there quick enough and has really been weeking for a while now... some kids just do it really quickly, others just need to do it when they feel like it, everyone is different... I got good advice from one of the Mums at Camerons school... and that was NEVER to make a scene or raise my voice, but to praise praise praise (she is on her 4th by now) and let him make the choices... it worked, took one week of letting him make choices and ONE day of reminding him to go to the loo every sort of two hours and that was it... done... not one whoops since Friday... 4 days now... and he is LOVING it, wouldnt put one on for his nap (he still sleeps with one on) so i asked him if he wanted to go and empty all the wee out so that it didnt want to come out in his sleep, he thought that was a good idea, and for three hours (WITH A HUGE TEA before) he woke and got up and went straight to the loo for the LONGEST wee *giggles* it was so sweet, he let out this SIGH... i had a good giggle!!!
So hang in there and dont rush it... just let it happen and it will and before you know it, its done and you will have had no stress getting there.

Oh I am not stressed about it at all, or pushing him, he is doing really really well.

Just diarrhea is bound to make you have a shitty day. *giggles at own joke*

*giggles too*

ogh shame, poor baby!!!

and dont let ANYBODY stress you out about it either... *smiles*

I hope you got pictures for when he brings his first girlfriend home to meet MOM !!!!

LOL !!!

SIS Mark !

Oh what a cutie pie! I hope his tummy is feeling better. Doesn't it always happen that way?

Hmmm now I don't feel so bad about my poo incident.

Hello...

Cindy's Josh and Daniel just wanted to copy their Dad.. so the stood at the loo with him and that was that! Neither of them used a potty or sat down at the toilet... poor Josh though - when he went to school they tried to make him sit on the toilet to wee. They would not listnen when he said that he always stands up... so he never went to whole day until he got home from school - now thats bladder control :-)

Hope all goes well....

J
