Kids Day Out
ballpark.jpgWell since we arrived in our little part of Scotland we have not done much apart form work opposite shifts. So today I had scheduled both of us off together so we could go out with the kids and do something. Poor Joshua has been getting cabin fever from being indoors with nowhere to go for so long so today we planned as a day to take him out and do something fun. We started off at KC Kangaroo's - its a ball park and we played there for about 2 hours. Joshua and Sebastian both had a ball of a time. Sebastian got to roll in the balls and play with them. HE loved every minute of it and chewed as many as he could lay his little hands on. Joshua started off slow just in the toddler section but after a while ventured into the other section with T in tow making sure he was ok. By the end of it he was climbing on his own and going down the largest slide there was and squeeling with delight.
After we left there we went down to the beach and there is a fun park there with rollercoasters and swings and all sorts of stuff. Joshua is too small to go on most of the rides but there are still alot for little kids and he went on the cars by himself, the haunted castle, long slide and water slide with Tarryn and on the baby rollercoaster with me. He loved the cars the most and went on it about a total of 15 times. You buy a two hour ticket and go on as many rides as you can and believe me Joshua maxed out his time on the cars. The water slide was amazing, they had to get plastic ponchos to wear but both still got wet heads. Some of the people who went on it without the ponchos were completely soaked, but I think they planned ahead as they had bags with a change of cloathes in. Joshua did not like the haunted castle as he is scared in the dark so T had to talk him through it. When I took Joshua up to the rollercoaster I slipped out of my shoe on the way and fell, dropping Joshua, thank goodness only onto a wooden decking so it was not so bad but he still cried bitterly. By the time we left he was completely and utterly tired out. He fell asleep in the car before we had reversed out of the parking and after we got home half and hour later did not even wake up getting out of the car and going indoors. He had about another one to one and a half hours nap before Sebastian woke him up by crying. Then Joshua decided that he wanted to go back and ride the cars and has not stopped crying since, sobbinig in fact. I have sent Tarryn off to Mac Donalds with him to see if we can get him to stop crying. He had so much fun today, more than he has had in all his little life so far. So all round a fantastic day out for the family. We neglected to take a camera with so used the mobile phones to take some pics you can find these in the Mobile Phone Photo Blog in the sidebar. And they just got back from Mac Donalds and all is fine again, it seems the toy this week is Noddy and since Noddy is this weeks flavour Joshua is all smiles and has forgotten all about his car rides. *phew*
