I have deprived my son of paints and drawing equipment after our crayon all over wallpaper loose full deposit on rental house experience, but was feeling bad about it this week so I went out and bought paper, finger paints, glitter glue, scissors and crinkle paper. So we had another session of art tonight and we used the glitter glue and papers, we were doing ok and then Friends came on so my attention to the whole things was gone - so I left Joshua to his own devices and simply sat there passing him bits of paper as he needed them. He sat for about an hour working on his first masterpiece, taking a step back every now and then and adjusting a bit of paper before continuing. It was amazing to watch him and the concentration was unbelievable. This is what he came up with, 100% on his own, I just gave him the bits of paper. I got this bathtoy for the kids today - rather a simple toy it sucks water in below and blows out a fountain at the top of water and spins around. What a fantastic and inexpensive toy, however if your kids are bothered by water in the face rather don't get it. more pics below.

Its 8:45 pm - both the kids are fast asleep and all is quiet in the house. OMG can it actually be true. T is still working, I just phoned him to tell him to make his way upstairs as soon as he can - he may actually get to watch an episode of 24 in peace and quiet.

This is one of the best books I have ever read and then read again a few times more. Its fantastic. In fact I have 2 copies of it and always love to buy it as a gift for someone special. My sister Corrina bought it for me for my 21st birthday back when shoulder pads were still in fashion.

So you may have noticed that I have moved the site. Well there are a number of reasons, the first is that I was using Joshua's webaddress and webspace, the second is that I was not 100% happy with the hosting company, and the third and most important is that I wanted my own webaddress. Well since we arrived in our little part of Scotland we have not done much apart form work opposite shifts. So today I had scheduled both of us off together so we could go out with the kids and do something. Poor Joshua has been getting cabin fever from being indoors with nowhere to go for so long so today we planned as a day to take him out and do something fun. We started off at KC Kangaroo's - its a ball park and we played there for about 2 hours. Joshua and Sebastian both had a ball of a time. Sebastian got to roll in the balls and play with them. HE loved every minute of it and chewed as many as he could lay his little hands on. Joshua started off slow just in the toddler section but after a while ventured into the other section with T in tow making sure he was ok. By the end of it he was climbing on his own and going down the largest slide there was and squeeling with delight.

Well so it was our anniversary yesterday. We actually managed to get somone to baby sit and T took me out to dinner. YES first dinner we have been out on for years. There is not a whole lot of places to go out to here. We went to the chinese buffet up the road - yes an eat as much as you like chinese buffet. I was expecting something like Mr Woo's straight out of the west end dingy kinda place but it was actually a really nice well decorated and lovely place. OF course my feeble attempt at getting back on track with the weight watchers was straight out the window as how can you go to an all you can eat buffet and have a salad with no dressing - not that they even had salad, I had even shaved my legs for the occasion. Well it was lovely dinner and Tarryn especially liked the fact he could finally eat as much as he liked !! We came back to the pub and sat downstairs for a while - it was quiz night - but after about 1/2 an hour we both looked at each other completely tired from our 5am start as that was when the kids had gotten us awake and decided to go to bed - LOL - we were exhausted so were in bed fast asleep before midnight. Kids will do that to you but wouldn't have it any other way.

And another year we have forgotten. Thanks to Angela for the reminder. *big smiles* I even rotored myself for a shift tonight - needless to say I have cancelled it and will be trying to get a sitter for tonight so I can drink numerous G&T's in the bar downstairs. Had to miss my weightwatchers meeting again tonight - that makes four weeks in a row now. Yesterday I had my meeting in Elgin so missed it - so I was going to go tonight to make up for missing it, unfortuantely there was no-one able to watch the kids again, so I had to stay home. I am so pissed off. I feel like just giving up, ate 3 choc biscuits to make myself feel better but now I just feel worse for having eaten chocolate. Having to loose weight becasue of having kids just sucks !!!!! Don't know what the point is if I never get to go to the meetings, they are going to throw away my card this week and I will have to start all over again and I am so close to my 10% goal at the moment.

Women are like apples on trees: the best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy....... So the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along - the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree. Share this with other women who are good apples - even those who have already been picked! And remember ... Men are like a fine wine. They start out as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the crap out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

My laptop has had these days when it will not boot - the drive turns and then it stops and the boot fails and you have to begin again. I have always thought this was due to the fact that the battery is kaput and have just kept trying till it boots and then carry on with the power plugged in and not use it off the kaput battery. Today it did this again, after try 20 I went and had a coffee and calmed myself down then tried again - it took till about try 30 and then vooooom started. Anyway I have found out that its the harddrive and that its almost gone - will most likely crash soon and I will loose everything. AAAAAAAAAAAA so now I am really stressed as you can imagine, I have given up on the desktop a while ago because I have to run it with the box open and close to cold air or it freaks out and blue screens on me. I am as we talk busy uploading all my important files to my internet webspace so that can be my backup (thanks Mark for the good idea) but am really stressing as I really do not want the laptop to crash on me now. I had a look on EBAY and there are several systems identical to mine that people are selling with broken harddrives so it must be an issue with them. They are going for between 50 and 80 as spare parts. So now I am really worried. I am thinking maybe to sell it before it crashes for good and also sell the PC and replace with a laptop that will work better for me. This one is after all over 4 years old so it has really done me well. Its really slow now and I have to go have a coffee when loading up and saving things in photoshop etc so that is annoying also. I really need it for the web work and cannot have a slow machine and will never buy a second hand one. ugggghhhhhhh

Lets just say figures - cash up - mistakes - nightmare - under - over - hellish nightmare - OMG - will be up all night sorting it out. Told T to cancel his shift as I will be down there all night from this morning at 8.

We have had to incidents in the past 2 days the first was when Joshua got out of the bath and Tarryn wrapped him up in all snug in his towel. Joshua then ran down the passage to catch up to Tarryn and tripped ovet the towel. Being that he was wrapped up all snug as a bug in a rug he went full on flat into his face and could not put his hands out to stop himself. He cut his lip with his tooth and had his first blood nose. OH MY WORD did he cry and of course T and I were almost in tears aswell. Then today I am running them a bath and I call Joshua who comes walking up the passage with a bottle of superglue in his mouth and he is busy sucking it out. Yes silly me left it on the window sill and he climbed up and got hold of it *no comments allowed on this*. Anyway thank our lucky stars that when superglue comes into contact with saliva it congeals and goes hard. I managed to get to him and hold his mouth open so his lips did not stick together and wet that part to get it off. There was some on his tongue too and that came off no problem and a whole ball of it stuck to the top of his mouth inside. And that come out without too much hassle. OH MY GOD that was lucky it all come out ok without causing any damage. Apart from that doing well. Am going to be doing the website for the company we work for so that is nice really excited about that. In the interest of making my page work better I have had to remove the comments off of the front page of the site as it makes errors each time I add or update an entry and after much searching its because I have the page doing to much when an entry is added so I have removed the comments and helps. But the latest comments are still in the sidebar so you can always see in there if there is something new to read and access the comments on the individial entry or comment entry pages.

Its been ages since I wrote. But life has been manic for the past week or so. One of the chefs walked out on Saturday, yes over the Easter weekend and the head chef is on leave and so Tarryn has been full time double shift in the kitchen meaning I cannot work but have the kids full time and believe me its a full time job this just does not pay. Anyway untill a new chef is hired T is full time in the kitchen - what fun that is for him. Yesterday the hot water tank did something funny and stopped working and so the hotel was withour water. The printer ran out of ink over the long weekend and I had to print out end of week paper work and it all printed out blank. Sebastian is getting a tooth big time and has been crying alllllllll dayyyyyyyy longgggggggg. Besides all of that I am well and fine and Tarryn is tired and exhausted. Joshua had a friend over today, one of the waitresses was without a babysitter and so I looked after her daughter for a few hours so she could work. Joshua had a ball with a friend here but I am not sure she had such a good time. He spent a lot of time chasing after her and hanging on her and as much as I was telling him not to he was thinking it was a cool game. Poor little girl wonder what she said to her Mommy about all of that. She did tell me my carpet was dirty LOL - and found a 2p on the floor and carried it all day long telling me about the kinder egg she planned to buy with it. I have been working on updating a website so have been really busy with that also while I have been upstairs. Got to bed really late last night and had to be up at 7 to cover reception and am covering it all week so have to be down there at 7 each day. My kettle has the annoying habit of dripping boiling hot water on my feet when I pour myself a cup of coffee. I has always done this and it hurts at 6am when I make the first cup of coffee and forget to move my feet. I have only recently noticed that when pouring cold water from it as I often do to fill the baby bottle it does not leak or spill a single drop.

Its John's last day at work and so we are going to his leaving do. We have a sitter coming, after much bribary and corruption we managed to get one at short notice on Good Friday. So we will be going out at about 8 for dinner and then come back here for some drinks after that. Oh what fun.

Its been a few days since I really wrote a daily update worth reading, but life has been rather busy here for a while. Today I have the day off so I thought I would catch up. Tarryn and I were supposed to go off and do a first aid course today, but our sitter could not make it so one of the barman has gone in my place. I am a bit upset but then on the other hand I think its better as it makes no sense for both T & I to go as when we are both away then they are short a first aider, so better someone else has gone. We are watching a DVD - Stuart Little 2 - its the movie of the week. Bye Bye Nemo - Hello Stuart. We have watched it non-stop since I got it yesterday. It was on special for a fiver and what a bargain it has been. It has a plane, a mouse, a bird and a cat and loads of action. Joshua has not been quiet like this in weeks. Worth every penny. Even little Sebastian has been watching it. I can only imagine what it must have been like to bring up kids without a TV. I wonder how my mother coped as we did not have a TV when we were this age. Not to mention what the hell my Granny must have done - mmmmmmmmmm 7 kids and no TV, and no car. RESPECT - is all I can say.

Saw this on a calendar in the office downstairs - OMG - can it be true. That is 85% of the year. And today is one of those days. Been drizzing all day long and its miserable. Was planning to take Joshua out for a ride on the bike and now cannot. 312 days of the year and we thought London was bad.

I took a drive up to ASDA to get a few things, had to make sure I was back by 7 as T had to go back down to work. So I wondered around in ASDA up and down the aisles, how sad is it that this is the highlight of my week. A shopping trip to the supermarket without kids in tow. I got back to the car and drove home, checked the time and it was only twenty to 7 so I had lots of time to spare. mmmmmm or so I thought, the clocks had gone forward on the weekend for summer time and this was the only one that did not self reset or get reset by me. T was in a tiz when I got back, thought I was going to arrive home with another set of visitors or had crashed the car or something worse. He had even started to check my emails to see if there was any clue there as to who it was I was collecting at the airport, and had also checked all my messages on my mobile phone that was charging. I used to be so good and only wash them if they were in a pair and that way when they come out the machine I had a pair. But since moving here and only haveing access to the machine at night our washing standards have dropped and now I have a whole box full of unmatched socks.
